Continued prayers for my brother Brad Folkers during his recovery. He had surgery on Dec. 19 to remove a bone spur & repair of frozen shoulder & cleaned it all up/Praise JESUS!
Please thank the Lord for His complete healing of Brad’s body & for effective physical therapy ahead! I’m asking for NO pain.
He had surgery on the other arm this past summer & back issues need symptoms to leave also. Thank You, Lord!

My cousin, Carolyn Cook, 71, of Three Rivers, MI has been in and out of the hospital since before Thanksgiving with internal bleeding and mobility issues. Today she was transported back to the hospital with Covid. She will be in isolation there for 10 days. My siblings and I are her closest family. Please pray for the return of good health for her and for her to know she is not alone. She has no spouse or children. She has one lifelong friend, Michael, who is there for her.

As I undergo deep internal healing related to trauma from my past I am discovering many lies that I called truth and some discoveries are only happening for the first time, in the last 2 months. I could use some prayer covering as I navigate these treacherous waters. I desire more than anything to be 100% healed from trauma I faced as a child, trauma that has followed me all my days- until now. It stops with me, in Jesus’ name! Thank you brothers and sisters in Christ for rallying behind me and sometimes for me, when it’s too hard to fight on my own. God bless!

Father in love (Tracy Purcell of Galesburg) began chemo treatment today for stage 3 colon cancer. Had an immediate reaction by losing feeling in his hands (maybe related to cold weather & treatment?) Please declare life over his body, for cancer cells to die off in Jesus’ name & for tumor to shrink to no existence. Also, pray for Tracy’s salvation. Allowed us to pray over him this past weekend- a little hesitant to become born again but pray for his salvation! We’re excited for all the Lord has planned for him.
Whatever Holy Spirit reveals. Jeremiah 29:11 really resonates for his salvation.

12-4-22 Our family comes asking for prayers for strength, comfort, and protection. Our Mother has been diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer and will have surgery this coming Tuesday. We ask that you join us in asking God to be with her and all of us through every step of this trial. We pray God grants the Doctors and Surgeons wisdom and guidance to determine the best treatment path and bless that path, Lord. Remove the cancer from her body and prevent it from spreading Lord. We also pray the gene testing results come back negative and show this isn’t a cancer passed on through genetics, We don't know what each of our lives holds in store, but God does. We ask that he would go before us and make straight our paths. Give us the wisdom to make the right choices. Give us the strength to keep going when life becomes difficult.

UPDATE 12-7-22 - She is home! Her ear did really well! Some mild discomfort on her first flight, but manageable and totally fine on her second flight. Outside of her bus ride from Chicago to Kewanee taking 1-1/2 hours longer than it was supposed to the rest of her travels went great! Thank you so much for your praise! God is so so good!!!
12-4-22 - Please pray for my daughter Mckenzie’s ear. Her eardrum is perforated. She has been on meds for a week, but the pain is not completely gone. She will be flying home from Oregon on Tuesday/Wednesday, so asking for prayers that the pain subsides and the flight does not make the pain worse.

Well my Brother Dennis had his scope today. 7 months since his last scope. Dr. Alshraida was so excited he said his bladder looks beautiful!!! Praise be to God this is a true miracle by Him! This journey and the circumstances surrounding it from diagnosis to today are a Testament to God being just and true to those who put their full trust in Him and him alone. Even had the opportunity to share a bit with the staff at the Dr office today. Thank you, Jesus.

We are preparing for a move on Oct. 1st, just outside of Laura, IL. My husband is currently working in Dixon, IL which is already a 54 min commute. It will become an hour and a half commute when we move. Rest today, then head up to Chicago to close on home and unpack truck. 7-12-22 - Jim McCauley was admitted to the hospital yesterday to improve his breathing. His nebulizer wasn’t cutting it at home. He was in the ER all day until a bed opened up late last night. His CO2 is holding at 94 without oxygen and he was released and they are now home! Thankful for answered prayers! Please continue to pray for them and deep healing for Jim in all areas of his body!

Tina Forlines (Noah is her husband, Marilyn’s neighbors across the road from the barn), early 40’s, seeing doctors presently (the transplant surgeon, transplant nephrologist, the pharmacist, etc) and several others (like a dietitian, etc) and doing tests, & labs. This is to complete things before officially going on the kidney transplant donor list. She’s feeling an increasing decline in health.
SOO her prayer request… “that God gives me strength day to day. It’s amazing how things I used to do without any thought have become so difficult to manage. I can’t wait to (hopefully) have energy again!

UPDATE 6-21-22 he’s a living miracle . He’s in the nursing home doing PT & OT, getting stronger everyday. He’s able to talk & memory decent, still slowness there but mostly back to prior stroke mentally. BUT needs swallow reflexes to kick in gear.
So prayers to be able to advance out of the nursing home AND immediate prayers needed to swallow normally w/no choking!!

UPDATE 5-31-22 He has had a left-sided stroke. He also has a brain bleed so they can’t give him meds for it presently. He’s in the ICU and stabilized for now.

UPDATE 6-21-22 - Shoulder/deltoid muscle surgery THIS Monday 6/27/22. He WAS on steroid med. briefly for the back & shoulder pain & it helped of course, but he’s off it now and Shoulder is worse. Back/legs get stiff and achy. Only 1 hour in a vehicle max before he needs to walk around. Continued prayers for TOTAL healing deltoid muscle AND back!!! In JESUS MIGHTY NAME!! He’s not a complainer & keeps farming in the misery. Lord help!

5-30-22 - For my brother, Brad Folkers/ Needs severe back pain relief, at times almost debilitating back pain. AND also Drs found torn muscle of his right arm, below shoulder, which Drs say needs surgically repaired. He’s a busy farmer & he just keeps going, not sure how he’s doing it. Pray MRI results don’t require back surgery too, he’s already had 2 back surgeries thru the years. Pray for the Lord’s healing treatment !!

Last Friday night I had a scare. A blood clot was in my lungs and it broke in two and went to my heart. I was knocked out by it. If it had not broken in two I would not be here now. The Princeville Ambulance team got here fast.

Pray for their minds to stay focused on YOU JESUS & to be encircled w/protection from all evil as their spirit’s have been Born again & have now come alive in your HOLY SPIRIT! Cover them in your blood Jesus!

UPDATE 6-21-22 - Thank you for your prayers! Her trip went well and she remained healthy mostly throughout. However, her tonsils are swollen again, so they are moving up the tonsillectomy to July 15. Prayers for an easy and successful surgery, speedy healing, and long-term relief for her throat!
4-28-22 - Please pray for Kenzie - to build her health UP as she hasn’t been able to get ahead of it this entire semester. She has 1 more week of college left until graduation; so the stress, pressure, & lack of sleep need to STOP so she can rest & recover ASAP! She has been sick on & off for months. She gets better, then comes down with something else & repeat, repeat. Pray the immune boosters and Jesus put her back on the healthy road! She graduates on May 7 and then leaves on May 11 for a month-long study abroad trip to Europe so we REALLY need her to be HEALTHY!!! Lord, please help Kenzie!

Please pray for Jackie Jones, her adult son with special needs Ryan, and her 92-year-old mother. Met Jackie on the road fixing a flat tire. Ryan has downs syndrome and is at OSF very ill. Jackie has heart trouble herself and her elderly mother is out in Princeton, alone, weeping for both of them all of most days. Lord meet them in their need and despair.

Shelby Coats is home after being in the hospital for over a month, & 3 major surgeries later that saved her life, for severe scoliosis, within like 6wks or so I believe. Please pray for the leg nerve pain to STOP, for strength & healing to allow for adequate rehab for walking, and for return to normal and that she would be pain free & in a positive mind in Jesus’ name.

For our neighbor Tina Forlines, upper 30’s age range. She’ll be on the waiting list for her second kidney transplant soon. She had a transplant done years ago, and now they’re looking at possible dialysis if a kidney is not found as a match soon.

My mother has been experiencing health 'issues' for a while now. Several years ago she was diagnosed with depression and anxiety and started on a treatment program to address those illnesses. Sometime over the past year or 2, we noticed a change in her behavior (physically & mentally). Her spunky, opinionated and energetic personality had seemed to be dulled and she also began experiencing changes in her physical ability (balance, etc) When these symptoms began impacting her day to day abilities, she started a series of appointments with many doctors. She has been on a long journey of appointments, tests, changes to medications over the past couple of years. All test results have come back as 'normal' and over that time her symptoms have fluctuated between getting better, to worse, to maintaining a general 'slowness'. At this time, she has been referred to neurology specialists at the University of Florida and is scheduled for a series of appointments and tests at the University on June 14th. At this time, I am asking for prayers for the University of Florida medical staff, that they would be able to provide answers and guidance for my mom. Prayers for my mom's healing. And also prayers for my dad as he continues to care for my mom through this process.

UPDATE - Just an update on Pastor Martha Scaaf.
She is in Hallmark Nursing Home in Pekin now for physical therapy. She has to learn to use a walker as she broke her shoulder and her hip, so praying for strength & stamina! . She cannot return home until she can get around on her own, but PRAISE GOD she is over the pneumonia and flu.!!
She wants to THANK U, THE CHURCH, for ALL your prayers!!

Thank you for the prayers for Martha Scaaf’s (retired Wyoming Methodist Minister) surgery Monday for her fractured hip after a fall at the hospital. She came through the surgery with flying colors. However, she now has pneumonia and the flu. Please continue praying for her recovery and strength for her family.

Please pray for the student and staff of Hillsong College as they transition from Phoenix to Orange County, CA over the next few months. Pray that the students who are called to go are able to make it financially with the switch. Pray the staff who are called to go are able to sell houses quickly and find new places to live out there.
Also, pray for wisdom for the leadership. The college is doing such great things to turn out future ministry leaders, and much of it is cultural - the way the leaders speak into the lives of the students.

UPDATE: Surgery went well! She still has IVs, PIC line, & wound vac, but she walked 60 ft today! Yea Shelby, Yea Jesus!! No spinal fluid leak, big praise!! Takes a lot of strength in all ways, but she’s getting at it! Thank U for lifting her name to the Lord!
UPDATE: Shelby Coats…..#4 surgery TOMORROW March 30 WEDNESDAY!! She’s remained in St. Louis hospital since surgery #3 approx. 10 or so days ago. More spine repair to straighten up her back to be done !! Shelby is from China & she’s helped TGC with the kids ministry occasionally in the past few years. We love her!!

Prayers for young Shelby Coats as she heals & recovers from spine surgery #3 in St. Louis, and as she prepares for surgery #4 next week!! Amazing things the Lord is allowing the Drs. to perform to straighten up Shelby’s spine!! And such pain & challenges the Lord is bringing her thru!!
Also, strength for Ruthie, Mom, and for Claude, Dad, as they assist Shelby getting thru these days in the hospital!

My son-in-law, Gabe, has a mysterious brain fog that’s been affecting him increasingly for the past year. It’s really picked up since they had the baby, to the point he went to prompt care today.

UPDATE: PRAISES Jonathan’s ankle surgery went well. He has been home healing. After his first follow up appt the Dr. was happy with his progress and put him in a hard cast. Continued prayers for complete recovery, peace and comfort as he is laid up at home, and divine intervention over the farm as spring calving and harvest seasons will keep everyone busy.
Jonathan Downey (Thomas' dad) is having surgery to fuse his ankle on Monday, March 7. They are traveling up to Chicago for the surgery.

Please pray for my friend Linda Mallette. She just lost a brother yesterday to a heart attack, she lost another brother this past December and a sister in January. Additionally, she is having eye problems. She is limited in what she can do now because she has to see the doctor every other day to monitor her eye. Praise - Darrin is starting to feel relief from bronchitis.
Prayer - Our oldest son Kyle moved to Texas 6 months ago. He along with the rest of those in his building was recently told, that a new property manager will be purchasing the building.
They will not be renewing any of the tenant's leases. This news was of course very disheartening for him. He really likes the location of where he's currently living. It's a good neighborhood, with many conveniences within walking distance.
We believe God provided this apartment for him and will provide the next. Please agree with us in prayer for Kyle to find a new apartment, that is pet-friendly (he has a cat). Quickly, easily, and within his budget. In the same neighborhood and in perfect timing for when he has to move out.

Two of my former 4-Hers were expecting their second baby last week and he was still born a few days before his due date. Please pray for Bob and Bethany Salisbury as well as their extended families (Salisbury Family and Harrison Family.) Prayers for comfort, physical healing as Bethany recovers from giving birth, and that they will be drawn closer to God and each other as they grieve together.

I had my second surgery on 1/31/22 on my arm after my accident on 9/29/21 with an angle grinder. This surgery included a nerve graft and reconstruction. I ask that everyone prays for 100% of function, mobility, and dexterity will be restored to my hand. That it will operate even better than before the accident!. The power of prayer is real! My main desire is that I will be able to worship God with my guitar again!
James 5:16 Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.

My praise/update:
I had my doctor's appointment in Naperville for my situation of the fistula and blocked jugular vein on the right side. As a result of the fistula, it caused a thrushing sound in my right ear. That sound disappeared two weeks ago. When I told the doctor that I believe in the God of miracles and that it is definitely a miracle, he half-heartedly agreed with a smile. He said it has only happened one time with one patient, ever to have the thrushing just stop. He believes either the fistula just shrank or is gone. He told me that I have a rare situation affecting my artery in the base of my brain where the fistula (was), that only 15% of women have. A form of dysplasia. But nothing is life-threatening!! Praise God!
Thank you for your prayers and please know, when God answers with something great He is showing you how great HE is!! Don’t act surprised. After all, He is God!!

UPDATE - Dr. said that it’s unlikely that the tumor or cysts on her kidneys are what’s causing her back pain and don’t seem to be worried about them. Dr. suspects it has something to do with nerves and has referred her to a neurosurgeon to take a closer look at her imaging, but they haven’t called her to schedule an appointment yet as they are very backed up.
Belinda, David Hall’s mom /Terrible back pain. She had a CT scan last week, showed a tumor, which appeared to be benign on one kidney and two large cysts on the other. She’s getting an MRI done this week on Wednesday to pinpoint what’s causing her pain or if it’s something else.
