What We Believe

God the Father

We believe in one eternal God existing in three persons – Father, Son (Jesus), and Holy Spirit. We believe the greatest commandment that was given is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.

[Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14;  Luke 10:27; Ephesians 4:6; John 14; Mark 14:36]

Jesus

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only Son of God, both fully man and fully God. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He is fully alive in the presence of God and in His people. He was crucified, died, was buried, and was resurrected three days later. He is now seated in heaven at the right hand of the Father interceding on behalf of all believers. We believe that the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross forever paid the price for our sins, healing, and deliverance. Whoever calls on His name in faith shall be saved, through His perfect grace.

[Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-18, 20:28; 1 Corinthians 15:1-28; Acts 2:21; Hebrews 10:12; Colossians 2:9]

Holy Spirit

We believe that the person of the Holy Spirit was sent by Jesus Christ to all believers as a comforter, teacher, and helper. One of His primary roles in the earth today is to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment.  We believe that every believer is baptized by the Holy Spirit, and can be filled with the Holy Spirit.

[John 14:26, 16:7-8; Acts 1:4-5; Luke 4:1; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Acts 2:4, 38, 10:44-45, 11:16, 19:2-6; Romans 8:9-11; Ephesians 5:18-19

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, authoritative, infallible, and is the living eternal reliable Word of God. We believe the Bible is necessary in our daily lives as it equips, corrects, reproofs, and instructs all believers.

[Matthew 7:24; John 1:1, 7:38; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Peter 1:23-25]

Salvation

We believe that salvation is a gift of God and cannot be earned, but must be received by the grace of God through faith. We believe that God will not refuse those who humbly come to Him in repentance and anyone who accepts His son Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will have eternal life.

[Matthew 9:6-8; John 5:24; Acts 4:12; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Romans 10:9-13; Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 7:25; 1 John 1:9]

Prayer

We believe that every believer is called to devote themselves to prayer both privately and with other believers. We believe that when believers pray, God hears and draws close to them, answering their prayers according to His will. We believe the prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective.

[Jeremiah 29:11-12; Matthew 18:19-20; Colossians 4:2; 1 Timothy 2:8; James 5:16]

Discipleship

We believe the definition of being a disciple is the same as being a Christian. We believe being a disciple means to deny self, follow and abide in Christ, and love others (enemies included). We believe that discipleship is preaching the gospel to the unbeliever and helping (training) believers grow into maturity in their relationship with God.

[Matthew 28:19-20; Luke 9:23; John 13:34-35, 15:1-8; Acts 11:26; 2 Timothy 2-3; Hebrews 3:13; 1 Peter 4:10]
